Building Learning Power

Just as sports people need to do certain things to become gold medalists, children need to Build Learning Power to become successful learners.

Let us introduce you to our Building Learning Power heroes. Each of our heroes has special powers. If we think about their special powers then we will become better learners!

Sounds a bit silly doesn't it, learning how to learn, but actually if you think about it, until we can do all of these things, the learning won't be as easy.

If you click on any of the heroes you will get a bigger picture which shows their super powers!  These can be printed so you can have your own heroes at home.

We meet the first two Building Learning Power superheroes in Reception - these are Resilience Boy and  Miss Resourceful.  We do lots of activities so that we learn what it means to be resilient  and resourceful learners.

We then meet our next superhero, Captain Reciprocity, in Year One.

By the end of Year Two we have met our final superhero, Reflective Ranger.

From now on, we try to use all these learning skills to help us be better learners ourselves....
